Flynn Creek Circus

Mendocino County’s own charmingly nostalgic, surprisingly fresh all human circus will be raising their vintage big top tent at the festival from August 17-20thExperience an off beat ‘film noir’ world created by top quality tightrope walkers, aerialists, jugglers, acrobats and comedians for a new 2017 show. Performances: Thursday, August 17 at 7pm/ Friday, August 18 at 9pm*/ Saturday, August 19 at 3pm and 7pm/ Sunday, August 20 at 1pm & 4pm.  (*18 and over show 9pm 8/18)


Elemental: An Outdoor Pageant Spectacle 

This family-oriented pageant will be performed at different sites around the Creamery building and will feature a community lantern procession, a flock of fantastic fairies, giant puppets, stilt walkers, a community choir and a giant shadow performance all in celebration of the buildings centennial anniversary. Assemble at the lot in front of the Tomas building at 1275 8th Street in Arcata at 8 p.m. Look for the big circus tent! Procession begins at 8:15 p.m. moving to the community bike path in front of the Creamery Building and processing around the 9th Street side of the building. Following Elemental there will be a special Flynn Creek Circus performance at 9 p.m. for adult (18 and over).

Saturday, AUGUST 19

Humboldt Fervor Festival 

Happening from 1-5 p.m on 9th Street between L & N Streets, this second annual event is co-hosted by Humboldt Made, Wildberries Marketplace and the Arcata Playhouse and is a celebration of all things fermented including hard cider, distilled spirits, beer and wine tastings as well as fermented non-alcoholic drinks & fermented food tastings such as sourkrout, kimchi, kvass, cheese, pickles, and more. Live music will include performances from Latin locals Timbata, Paula Jones Band, RLA Trio with Rob Diggins, Bandamonium and special surprises.
